This is a substantial amount of extra content so if you haven't played MX vs ATV All Out yet, this Anniversary Edition is a great deal. Last but not least, Hometown MX Nationals contains 4 large outdoor tracks and 2 cool freeride locales that actually have time of day variants. Next, Guns N' Roses' guitarist Slash designed a few very fun and flashy Supercross tracks as well as a freestyle map that comprise his Snakepit pack. First, motocross legend Ricky Carmichael has his very own goat farm that you can race around complete with 6 tracks and races. This Anniversary Edition of MX vs ATV All Out contains plenty of DLC that you wouldn't get with just the vanilla version. I would have liked to see a career mode or story campaign. However, everything is so open-ended and unstructured that the overall sense of accomplishment is limited.

NEW MX VS ATV SERIES
Finally, the only mode that features any sort of substantial progression is competing in Series to earn trophies and unlock further events.
NEW MX VS ATV FULL
On the plus side, the soundtrack is full of rocking tunes that fit the gameplay perfectly. Anyway, another issue is that it features rather subpar visuals and they even stutter at times and there are odd graphical glitches every once in a while, too. What's here is still fun but I wish that it had some distinct gameplay elements to make it stand out from other racers.

At the same time, it doesn't quite feel realistic enough to be a simulation nor is it arcade-like enough for casual racing game fans. Sometimes it's lonely being in first place.Īlthough MX vs ATV All Out Anniversary Edition is an enjoyable racer with a ton of content, its core gameplay really doesn't do much unique. They come in many varieties, too, such as indoor arenas and expansive outdoor environments as well as tracks built just for doing tricks and some are even focused on following waypoints which is my personal favourite race style. On top of all this, I was blown away to see how many tracks there are. You can even change your rider's appearance to make them really stand out. As you play, you'll earn money which can unlock new vehicles as well as parts that you can tune so there's definitely a lot of depth when it comes to customization.

When it comes to modes, you can challenge different Series to earn trophies, take part in Single Events and Time Trials, compete online with up to 16 players, or race against a friend in Arcade mode.
NEW MX VS ATV HOW TO
When I first started playing, I'd wonder how my competition could rush ahead of me but after figuring out how to lean, brake, and use my clutch effectively, it was quite satisfying to finally be able to win races.Ĭonsidering MX vs ATV All Out Anniversary Edition includes plenty of DLC (which I'll discuss in more detail later), it features a large amount of content that you can enjoy at your leisure. Thankfully, MX vs ATV All Out is a rewarding game to learn as you watch your skills gradually improve race after race whether you prefer to drive dirt bikes or ATVs. Although MX vs ATV All Out Anniversary Edition doesn't offer nearly as epic of an experience as genre classics like MotorStorm, what's here is still a capable and thoroughly enjoyable racing game, especially if you're inclined to master all of the subtleties required to maintain your speed as you launch off ramps, land, and turn sharp corners. Hopefully, I'll at least get a consolation prizeĪs a casual fan of racing games, I tend to enjoy more arcade-style racers and over the years, I've become quite fond of motocross and off-road games. MX vs ATV All Out Anniversary Edition is also available for Xbox Oneįans of motocross and off-roading certainly don't have many choices so get ready to race in a new release of last year's MX vs ATV game.
